Caught this in a classic car buying guide magazine from 2006...
Would've been a great time to buy an M3 and store it!!
Would've been the only time I could afford one too haha!

I remember when I first clapped eyes on what would become my first e30 and fell in love almost 10 years ago I went online and looked at some. At the time I knew nothing about e30's and wasn't a big fan of the m3's looks at first so ended up with a sport

I bought my 325i Sport in 2006 for £2500 with 32k miles on it which was a good deal back then.
The following year i was thinking about buying an M3 and there were plenty of nice ones about for less than £10k and sport evos were in the high teens!
Only took me another 8 years to actually buy one!

I remember the classifieds in the early 2000s but ploughed every spare penny into doing up our house then. Should have bought as many m3s as I could. Oh well....

With interest rates as they are prices will carry on rising. Hopefully we'll get to enjoy this for another 10 years!

same time as i bought my sport
sad thing was the guy i got it off (old family friend) also had a sport evo m3 which he put up for sale a week later for IIRC about £11K,
really wish i had waited another week even though he didn't say owt at the time
i dare not think what it's worth now as it had barely 16k on the clock.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)

You started off with a new e30, a thrusting Executive-Yuppie mobile, as Pony would say.
Then you ended up driving a Diesel Volkswagen, life can be cruel.

I remember a thread on the Zone many years ago when someone advertised a red Sport for £5K. Everyone started slating him and demanding that he take pictures of the car on the ramp of the entire underside to prove it wasn't rotten. That was back when good sports could be had for around £2,500-£3,000 IIRC.
I also remember a good few years ago when a friend of my uncle had an E30 M3 convertible; diamondschwartz black with Hartge Split rims. He sadly passed away and his family didn't know what to do with the car. They later ended up selling it for £10k!!
How times have changed!
