Just for information, my M3 (which has stood for longer than I can remember) would not start, I drained all the old fuel off and put fresh in tank, but still no start. Would fire on easy start but not run.
Found pump in tank u/s so replaced both pumps to eliminate them, still no start.
Read on one forum about injectors sticking, remedy was to have engine turning over and tapping body of injectors, was bit apprehensive but gave it a whirl, hey presto as I tapped them each cylinder chimed in and now starting on the button.
I was thinking all doom and gloom scenarios about ecu etc (had replaced all relevant relays as well) but was simple fix but took about 6 weeks to eventually get it running!!
