ive recently wanted to sort out my AC, around last year it stopped working, think the gas finished as the car was parked up for awhile. But think it still had the old gas, so i want to know, how to find out if it actually did have the old gas or its already been converted in which case i can just refill. But if it is the old one how do i go about sorting the issue out...

The conversion kit which was available from BMW, has now been discontinued... If its the kit below;

The charge ports on R12 are totally different to R134a, if you car has been converted it will have adapters on the ports, it will be pretty obvious to see.
