Hello all, I have a feeling this is the wrong section...
But can anyone point me in the direction of someone that could swap my m52b28 manual, with a m57b30 auto?
I've broken my back hence the need for auto, and I'll be rocking up bigger miles so am after fuel economy - it's a little backwards but better than selling the car!
Cheers Jack.

An easier route would be to fit an auto box behind your existing engine and convert it to run on LPG for the economy bit.

Living in the sticks, the closest lpg station is over 25 miles from me!

That could be a problem. It's essential to have a supplier nearby, or close to a route that you regularly use, although a converted car can switch back to petrol if you do run dry.Spacko29 wrote:Living in the sticks, the closest lpg station is over 25 miles from me!

My other thoughts are that driving an auto with handcontrols, would suit the power delivery of a diesel....

I would go for an m52 auto for ease. If you want the extra power of a 3 litre, Dan has built some nice m52b30's

An M57 in the real world isn't that economical, I've run a couple and around town they struggle to make 30mpg. That said you live in the sticks where I would imagine red diesel is pretty easy to come by.....
