Diff question

Hi all,

I'm building a M50 turbo looking to achieve 500-550bph. Hx35/40 turbo
Now, I want good drive ability and be able to reach top end speeds of around the 160mph mark.
The gearbox is a E34 S5D 250G and I was thinking of mating it to a med case 2.65 or 2.93 LSD. 16" wheels max, possibly using 205/50 tyres.(rears)

I just want peoples thoughts and opinions, especially from those who have/had boosted cars.

I think this gearing ,, 2.65/2.93will suit the G250 box very well,,,,, as the 5th gear is 1:1

I am using a 2.65. Theoretical top end of 203mph if it could rev out in 5th

Should build boost well as the engine will be under load. Plus the lower ratio diffs are stronger.

What's your rev limit. Assuming you're running M50

I've decided to go with an s54 now. I was going to set the m50 to 7k but I've heard they don't like sustained high revs
