I've been watching some YouTube videos tonight and it does look tricky but not the hardest of jobs....
I'm definitely thinking of giving it a shot!
Just trying to decide between blue black and red roof colour

in my view this is one of those jobs that I will leave to a pro, the risk of getting wrong is just to great.

Not me Brian, I watched someone else do it! On an E30 manual hood it's doable but a hood specialist won't charge that much as they're quite simple.Brianmoooore wrote:Andyboy has - see this months Car Mechanics. (On an E36 though.)

i Had a guy replace my rear window earlier this year in order to do that the whole roof had to come off i watched and gave him a hand so i know kinda what is in involved and stuff you require for refitting ie patience a good screwdriver magnetic one and a special type of glue and a prying type of tool to take rubbers out with preferably a plastic type. And a dry place if it goes tits up and a hard top ...lol
