I have found a red 325i sport with 90,000 miles on the clock. Every bill, MOT and service stamp is there. The car is virtually perfect and has a leather interior. I have had it inspected by an idependent who agrees the practially mint original condition.
Can anyone tell me what I should be paying.

Thanks
Simon

Some will say no more than Ԛ£2500, and some will say Ԛ£5000, if you want the car, and have the money, buy it!

How old is it?

How long is a piece of string?

You buying from a trader or privately?

A good sport any where up to Ԛ£4k

A very good sport Ԛ£4/Ԛ£5/Ԛ£6K ++

It depends really what you want from the car, you could pay mega bucks for a low mileage car, then whack loads of miles on it, in which case you've just thrown loads of money away.

If you go by the 'glass's guide then a '91 H reg sport with 112k on the clock is worth Ԛ£1435 privately... back in the real world you'll expect to pay a little more than that! i've seen them up for sale at Ԛ£7500.

As has been said it is hard to put a price on the car.... but as they are becoming increasingly more rare, and the fact that full service history and low mileage is very important, i would probably pay up to Ԛ£4k for a manual and slightly less for an auto..... winkeye

Si, i assume you paid a premium for the low mileage car, in which case your car is now just approaching 'normal' mileage for a lot of other sports about...

When i bought my 318iS it was on 118K, then i think by the end of the first year it was then on 143K.... then i changed jobs! now it's still only on 154K 3 years later...

Unless any car has FSH it's impossible to guarantee the mileage anyway, just buy a car with good bodywork & interior, it's easy to change an engine/box/diff if necessary, and a nightmare to get a decent spray job done.

thats fine Ԛ£2.5k for a sport, but the more that get broken. Everyone seems to be braking a sport, the less there will be about!

2000 made of each model. There are not alot of nice ones now, most have been crashed,rusted away,broke for spares! if everyone keeps braking them, then in 3-4 years the prices will have to go up as there will be none left!

f you don't want to pay more than Ԛ£2500, then it's very hard to find a good one, and theres hardly any tech 1's around at all that aren't like collinders from what i've heard.
