evening folks,
looking for an answer of sorts.
while doing a sump swap on my sport today (old one was past its best, got a nice shiny new(ish) one) & swapping the baffle extension plate over & installing the new crank scraper i noticed on the new sump the part numbers didn't match up.
the old one has part number 11 13 1 720 754 but the new one was 11 13 1 777 *** (can't remember the rest) & had 3.2 stamped under it where the old was blank but they both had the bmw roundel stamped in them.
i'll try to remember to get a pic of the part number when i take the sump back off (in the middle of swapping from bolts to stud & nut) on monday.
any one have any idea??? could the new one be a pattern part?? there's nothing on realoem of bmwfans.info that even comes close.

Sure it wasn't 277, not 777? 11 13 1 277 754 is an older part number.
