Hi guys just some general questions in a random order.
I have 325 saloon , with the following bits ,
6 branch manifold
Bolt in cage
Coil overs
Fully poly bushed
Full stainless exhaust
Bucket seats and harnesses
Pagid race pads
Weight 1270kg
At brands the car was awesome sorry but love the e30 ,
Time was 1:04 with 2 people in excess of 100 kg each (1470kg)
Was the first time on track and car was not 100% lost time on straights - yep lose the passenger would definitely help.
Engine choices looked into lots of various possible options don't know which way to go e46 m3 or 3.5 / 4.0 with turbo.
Would like to get an idea of what sought of times are possible on the track any one done v8 turbo conversion.
We're to start ??

For a track car, you would be hard pressed to beat an s54. Fantastic engines. You don't need any more then 350hp in an e30 chassis IMO

Wasn't me - was there in April I think. I keep thinking of a turbo engine as well due to costs of m3 engine transplant as I wouldnt be doing any work on the car myself hense the v8 turbo sinarioe.

An s54 will work out a lot cheaper than a twin turbo v8

Track times depend upon many factors and you don't mention one of the biggest, namely the tyres you were using. In my day, breaking a minute was good, now I believe the fastest are into the 58s.
You do know more depends upon the nut behind the wheel, and I by that I don't mean his ability to spend money buggering up the car, sorry swapping the engine.
