I know some previous threads about Fritz have not been good, but long story short.......i rolled the dice.

I sent my m30 converted e30 to rich at fritz as he seemed to be the only custom exhaust place that was interested in doing what i wanted at a price that seemed more than fair.

So i had a complete manifold and full system, with larger diameter pipes so the engine wouldn't be so restrictive (as with the old bodged up system and hacked up manifolds)

Well i got the car back today- WOW! what a massively noticeable difference- my 3.5 m30 seems a different animal........and from what i can hear and see- a great job was done.

Not only that- rich at fritz seemed extremely helpful and sorted some welding out and even advised me with some issues the engine was having- he sorted everything out including the brake peddle problem i was having!

I know some zoners are unimpressed by Fritz, but from my own experience and my cars driving experience now, i would recommend his services.

So anyone that was thinking about using his services but was a little unsure- he has got a thumbs up from me. :D

Any details on the system? Is it off the shelf or custom?

its a custom system- made to go around the steering linkage, I didn't want a really loud system. it sounds great, just over stock sound i reckon. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the e34 standard manifold size is 50mm- so had the new system all the way to the back box made to that (or the correct size)
it drives so much better- no hesitation, and revs so easily- its a monster.

I took a picture of the manifold- rather poorly i must admit, i have posted it on the zone Facebook site.

Stock is 51mm iirc.

It's funny you say it opens up the top end more. I put an m30 in a week or so ago and find it feels like it's restricted. I used the method on the zone wiki of sliding the stock downpipes into the m30 ones which obviously isn't ideal.

Anyway I snapped a rocker yesterday so have other concerns in the mean time :(

Yes, i felt the mated e34 manifold into the smaller 325 standard system was choosing/restricting the system- feels livelier now! I'm really impressed.
