Hello, I've got a e36 320 and a complete e30 body. I'm looking for opinions on if I should use my e36 as a donor car or if I should sell it to sponsor the e30 project. Sense my bugdet is quite low as a student I want to save as much money as I can. (sorry for my bad english, I'm from Sweden)

There's nothing worthy on that model E36 for the E30.

The rack is about the only thing usable but only if it's free as there are better racks

The e30 is missing enigine and my initial thought was to donate the enigine and the brakes mainly from the e36. Is that a good decicion? Also, what would be the optimal donator car? Thanks for replying.

There is a fair amount of effort/expense to fit the m50b20/m52b20 from an e36 into an e30 body shell. The same amount of work and cost would have a far better m50b25 or m52b28 in the car.
The brakes won't fit. You will have to use the struts etc. However unless you are using m3 evo stuff, the geometry will be completely out of whack so it's of no use.
A good donor car would be a manual e36 328i. The engine, gearbox and prop can be used. You will need e34 engine mounts, sump and dipstick tube (an e34 donor can also be used).
What engine was originally in the e30? If you are on a budget, I would stick with what was originally there.

The e30 was originally a 320. I bought it with a e34. Sadly the m50b25 in the e34 had water in it, but I have the sump, mounts and dipstick. I also have a getrag 225 gearbox. Therefor I should just need a new enigine right?

If you have the E34 sump bits already, an E30 that needs an engine, and a 2 litre E36 engine available, there's no reason why you shouldn't put it all together. The 2.8 upgrade can be done later with minimal work.
