ive been told easiest thing to do is put a m50 engine in my e30
does anyone do this kind of service i just dont have time no more

I would start by giving it a damn good service, clean out all the inlet, new filters etc. Then check the value clearances. Try a speedtouch mild chip.
To get some more gains, you are looking at a new cam shaft like the shrick 272 or a newman 270
if you get the engine out and want some relatively cheap gains, look for a ETA bottom end which will stroke it to 2.7l
A big bore throttle body will make it feel more responsive and get a couple more MPG, well worth it for the cost in my view.
Perhaps change the diff up a notch for 3.91 which will make it feel a bit more perkier but will rev a little higher on the motorway.
Depends on your budget really.
If you want to swap over to the M52 2.8 then you'll have some real fun. Drop "Danthe" a PM who can do the whole swap for you.

just finding someone who knows what there doing to plum it all in for me but im leaning more towards a engine swap job
