Could anyone in the know confirm how the rear valance was finished from factory on facelift cars?
Car in question is a 90 325i se.
Having an argument with a mate, on how they should be finished!
If anyone has a good photo, that would be ideal.

Thanks for the photos bud, that's ideal. Can you confirm if the black is applied over or under the clearcoat?
If over the clearcoat, what type of material is it?

The black is on top of the normal paint, if you scotch one back then the black comes off.

Yes absolutely is^ sorry skin head missed your reply above. You often see them with scores with the black paint coming off to show body colour underneath where stones have hit the lower sills, back valence etc where those black bits are.
