Facelifted E30 Build Dates

Hi all hope we are well,

I was wondering if there exists any info on at which point (in terms of chassis number and build dates) the face lifted plastic bumper cars were built from? You can get both chromie and plastic versions on an E plate and was curious as to whether this info existed- perhaps it was just a continuation of dates and numbers though.

Facelift E30s went on sale in 09/87 for the '88 model year.

Im not sure whether there was a cut off point or whether the dates varied depending on model etc. My cab is a chromie on a G reg (1990)

Many thanks for the replies folks, much appreciated. According to the vin build check site mine was built on 17.11.87 but not registered until March 88 on an E.
