Hey folks, I did a timing belt swap this weekend on my E30 325i and everything went well aside from the alternator belt tensioner. #8 in this diagram:

This had its teeth churned up already and was giving me a squealing belt before the swap. I know you can get a replacement tensioner, my problem is that the #10 bolt is bent or fused in the alternator housing so I wont be able to get my wrecked adjuster off and a new bolt in :(

Would I be wasting my time looking for the correct alternator housing to save my unit, or just find a second hand one.... Anyone had any experience trying to get the big bolt out.
