Is there anything worth considering over a Bilstein B8 kit for the similar money that is not a coil over, sensible for a road car that will combine with a slightly lower Eibach spring to give and improvement over stock ?
Thanks

I have been considering the gaz shocks. Not ordered yet though, any major reasons for the B8's over these? I was thinking that the adjustability may allow me to run a softer set up as I have heard that the billies are very firm?
I already have a new set of H&R springs.

Gaz are great, ideally you need to speak with them before ordering to make sure your getting exactly what you need. They're more than happy to make something exactly to your spec. Shouldn't cost you any extra.
The corrosion protection on the gaz stuff isn't great though, so if your planning on coil overs, I would wrap the thread in self amalgamating tape to prolong the life. (if you plan on adjusting them in the future)

If you want softer than a B8 then buy some B4's

Agree 100%. I have B8's on the M3 with eibach springs with a 30mm drop and while the handling is fantastic the ride is pretty harsh. I will be swapping out the eibach springs for stock M3 springs this summer.. More spring rate will give a softer ride.DanThe wrote:If you want softer than a B8 then buy some B4's
Ive put B4s on the 318 iS Im rebuilding.. Can't wait to compare the two...
