Got a peezly 1.8 and am thinkin bout doin a conversion, probably gonna go for a tuned 2.5, although the thought of a 3.5 under the bonnet sounds beastly!

So what are they like to drive? I take it those who have done the conversion would then use their E30 as a weekend car only due to fuel issues and everyday driving conditions?

When driven by the likes of you they're a nightmare....

Just thought i'd get a personal insult in before I get back to work.

How's the engine swap planning going? Hopefully I'll be dumping a large, very powerful parcel in your garden soon. (my new engine). Hopefully.

it can be a bit nose heavy and understeer but the brutal torque soon sorts it out with a bit of power oversteer!!

but honesty, it depend how you drive it mate!!

you still got a lot of thinking to do. winkeye

My land, means anything on it is mine winkeye you can have paul and andy's golf instead.

Sorted out my alarm and remote central locking today. Off topic but you have to start somewhere. Means I'm content with my car for a few hours. Oh yeah it's my birthday! :P Perfect time to send me lots of free E30 parts, alternatively cash is fine too :D

Believe me I'm not doing much else apart from thinkin bout what I'm gonna do with the car. Sorry did I say thinkin, I meant dreamin!

Nah at some point I'm gonna sort it out but need to get some cash first. Also I just need to keep drivin with a cool head, until Easter atleast, I'll get 4 years no claims then which I'll protect. I'll be gutted if I do something stupid in the mean time! If only I didn't right off my first car, I'd be on for 5 years NC, actually thinkin bout it I was always gonna right off my first car, needed it to teach me a lesson.

I'll have 4 at this renewal

I need to protect mine, will Adrian Flux do that on a 4 year instead of a 5 year NCB

I ask cos they quoted me 650 quid to insure a 3.2 Evo powered 318is and I want to keep it that way!! Ԛ£650 is mint!

I'm sure you can. Think it costs an extra Ԛ£40 or something? But anyways, Ԛ£650 for insurance on a 3.2 conversion! Fcuk! Thats good! Have you tried using Ryan's mate for insurance?
