A word of warning !! I recently bought a pair of front fog lamps from a "so called "BMW parts / breaker" who posts & advertises on FB - Nav Khan - this guy is a complete and total waste of space ! a complete and total ignorant, insulting idiot ! The lamps I bought didn't work, I tried them on my other E30 to make sure it wasnt anything on the car, but, they definatley did NOT work, so I contacted this guy to let him know, he just couldnt care less, he said, check the bulbs, after eventually managing to open them up I discovered that there want any bulbs in them !!! I contacte him to let him know, and said he obviously doest test / check things before he sells them and sends them out, he replied saying that "he a breaker" and doesnt have time to check things as he is far too busy ? !! and if I wanted fog lamps that worked, I should have gone to BMW !! REALLY ? ! Anyway, after a couple more messages, whereI told him that I had bought from breakers many times and nearly all test and even gaurantee all parts, and that I thought his ignorance and unprofessionalism was unbelievable, and I thought he may be a bit of a rip off ! and that he SHOULD test things, this guy just bombarded me with abuse, here is one of his replies - / Nav Khan
11/12/2015 10:42
Nav Khan
Oh im a rip off when i sold you fog lights not bulbs FOGLIGHTS do your homework you tramp not even bmw dealers sell you foglamps with the bulbs you have to buy the bulbs separately... but your just another old cunt who expects everything for free... i will be at all the shows next year come and say that to my face you if you're still alive you waste of space cunt
This is just 1 of his insulting replies, I told him that he was such a child ! It is my opinion that this will be the case with EVERYTHING he sells, and whatever it is, it will not be as described - or fit for purpose, especially if it's an electrical item, like my lamps. Now, yes it was easy enough to buy a couple of bulbs, but my point is - is his response !! which is not only very unprofessional, but very offensive and insulting to me !! he made it personal, all he had to say, was something like - oh sorry I hadn't checked / tested them, put a couple of bulbs in and let me know if they are ok ! But, NO, he just immediately got defensive, and insulting ! so, unless you want to buy something that will probably not work, and not as described, then want seriously offended and insulted, keep well away from Nav Khan in Birmingham !
I would just like to point out here that my gripe is purely about this guys totally ignorant attitude and total and complete unprofessional-ism and manner !!

SO - Be warned.

Interesting, seems like there must have been a bit of an exchange. Care to share the whole pm of both parties?

Nav is on here as bmw-mad and he is very reputable and sells a lot of items, have a look at the feedback section and feed back speaks for itself. Nothing against you but if I was fitting a new part I would have thoroughly checked them over first and you would have probably noticed that there was no bulbs in them.

I have brought stuff off bmw-mad with no problems, in fact I would say he is extremely helpful and his feed back reflects this.

Nav is one of 3 members from BM Parts Centre who are are contributors as well as traders

BMW-MAD & M_sport (one is Abid and the other guy Walid) use the forum and Nav is on FB

So, to clarify you are not happy with his "communication"

With a fog light light there is nothing to test. The only part that can be tested is a bulb. The item is self is sold as a used part based on its physical appearance / condition.

Personally I don't sell lights with bulbs. I'm a pikey and keep them as spares for my self lol

Anyway, for the benefit of transparency could you post up the whole conversion ?? Reason I ask is a follows

What did you ask for, a fog light or a fog light and working bulbs ?

If there's a genuine problem it is good for the members to be aware. If there are persisten problems with the same trader and buyer we will consider what action, if any is required by the team.

Kos

PS

Here's their feedback thread, over 4 pages and 8 years on and only one negative to which they responded to.

I know it won't help you cheffy, but you have to remember everything broken from an E30 is now 25 plus years old, and will have 25 years of weather, wear and tear on it. Buying second hand parts from cars that are being broken is always on a best intentions basis, expect to do some work or restoration on any part. Nav is out in all weathers breaking BMWs non stop, and its not a pleasant task, especially at this time of year. You probably caught him just after he took the skin of his knuckles for the 10th time today, he's normally a good and helpful guy.

When buying parts in the future be very specific about what you want, and expect to pay top prices for cleaned, tested, guaranteed parts.
Selection of BMW hardtops available, please ask!

I sold my cromie to BMW MAD Recently and imo he's a very nice guy who does exactly what he says he will when he says he will. Overall a really nice bloke to do business with.
I must admit i don't like it when people post badly about someone and don't include all correspondence both ways as it can give a misleading impression. I'd have no issues doing business with him again. If i was buying fog lights this old and they arrived with lenses etc intact i would be more than happy to buy some new bulbs.

I sold a passenger sport seat to them and (I think) it was Abid that picked up. A VERY pleasant guy he was willing to chat and spend time putting the world to rights.

With second hand lights I always sell them with a cosmetic description. It's more important that they are not cracked, stone chipped to hell, discoloured or that the reflector is not tarnished. As for bulbs then if it works then thats a bonus.

Any plum can fit a bulb. As stated, they are second hand parts.

Thanks for the positive comments guys, its always a pleasure dealing with you genuine Folks!

As Kos Said we are a 3 man team on the forums

Nav controls Facebook

Abid Is M-sport on here

And I'm Wahid Or some of you know me as Hussain As its easier to pronounce :D

Right I am sure everyone knows what used parts are?

That's what we sell some are almost 30 years old some are newer but not BRAND NEW

Most of our stuff is tested, but please bare in mind we have 2 large warehouses full of parts so its pretty easy to stuff to get mixed up.

Back to these Fog lights now Nav told me about them and I straight away said not much can go wrong its just a plug and Bulb.
So I asked the same question "has he checked the bulb........"

We always rectify any issues or problems a customs might have but be serious its friggin bulbs!

I seen all the messages that they exchanged and Nav was all cool until he was told to go back home (Nav tells me He hasn't got a passport so don't know where to go lol).

Then yes some verbal's were exchanged.

We have a business to run we are not in it for 5 minutes and have been doing it for years, we try and help everyone out traders, Exporters and the enthusiasts. We offer a quick service Usually next day!

But We are Human so can make a mistake But 2 bulbs is being petty!

That's my input on this

Thanks

Gotta say, I've had some very pleasant dealings with BMW Mad. Items always arrived on time and been top notch. I would recommend him/them.
Hard to say how or if the OP has fallen out with these guys without the full story.
I would say that I've had a bad experience with London Car Clinic though. That guy was a real tool.

Off topic, but Kos et al.. Have you thought about pinning main traders on the feedback page so you don't end up with multiple threads per trader?

I bought my cream cab interior from
These guys. It was as described and the service was good. We negotiated a price too! a˜„. Very happy with everything.

I have dealt with another trader that told me " don't do deals". Well, you didn't get a sale from me either!

As it's been said, these are spare parts, not brand new supplied via the dealerships. Price and quality is reflected in this.
