After lots of mods including a 2.7 and nitrous Iain Temple sold it to a guy on the Isle of Man IIRC, he was building a 2.8 engine for it but I can't remember if it ever got finished/fitted

Yeah he did, gazza325icab, I seem to remember it being at Chris Warburtons for a while when I used to frequent, I don't think Chris bought it but was just doing work on it, he then sold it to Iain T

That was the silver one they featured wasn't it? That had lots of chrome "extras"? I think the "Midnight Blue" (WTF?) one Ed and Mike done a full and thorough restoration on is long dead.DanThe wrote:Yeah he did, gazza325icab, I seem to remember it being at Chris Warburtons for a while when I used to frequent, I don't think Chris bought it but was just doing work on it, he then sold it to Iain T

Yeah the silver touring, don't know about chrome but I'm sure it had colour coded door handles, didn't realise there was another one! Video in first post does not work

The blue one they bought at an auction, "restored" and sold on with a full stainless steel 'zaust and performance air filter...
They used to have a feature where they'd show you an alleged minter, basically what they were aspiring to. The silver one was used for this and I vaguely recall it had lots of tasteful bling upgrades and big wheels.

That was on an even earlier Mike brewer program pre Ed China i think called deals on wheels and it was a neon cab that some punter brought in to mikes garage so tart up before selling on.DanThe wrote:I think I do remember it now, was it a cabby? It was a feature about helping people to maximise on the sale of their car and another one i remember was a mk1 golf cabrio.

The silver one was a lachs 325i Touring owned by 325SME, Steve, from South Wales. Nice chap, nice car.
The only "bling" in really had was a 325i badge on the centre consol, colour coded door handles, 'pina reps and was lowered slightly.
Was a cracking car many moons ago.

Back when I originally watched that, I went out and purchased new bumper trim which cost about £100 back then. It's shot up in price ridiculously since.etouring wrote:I remember thinking Idd like one of them (age 14) now I have 2all they need is some new bumper trim, but didn't listen to Mikes advice they both white lol
