Well Andy - it is all just speculative at the moment. I'm running a 325i touring - just like the one in your picture (except not lowered mdified etc)

I am thinking about buying a fun car to modify. I was particularly interested in what the tdi site said about lowering suspension and changing suspension geometry -

"Camber and caster adjustment kits are also available. Often essential when BMW's are lowered due to the rear suspension design. Many vehicles fitted without these kits have uneven tyre wear problems at best, and very poor handling at worst. Our kits enable the geometry to be checked and adjusted while under load. This significantly speeds up the procedure. Front kits Ԛ£230.00. Rear kits Ԛ£195.00"

I've run several other E30s and one was lowered, I think it was on Spax, but wasn't aware about other adjustments. Do you agree with their recommendations about camber and caster adjustment - or is this just their money spinning idea, since everyone says they are expensive.

cheers for all responses guys

Recommendations are leading me your way Ant. And you are not too far from me either so I will definately be in touch when I have found a car that I like.

Sorry what does 'a bit rice' mean mate?

cheers

So long as you don't lower it too much you shouldn't have any uneven tyre wear.

Ant's looking after the Zone shop at the mo, he should be able to recomend a good set up. :thumb:

Toby

I wanted a supercharger conversion on my 840 sure they could do it, i was interested albeit their quote was high, but was unable to tie them down to a start date, as if they could'nt be bothered, mention this to ca automotive in conversation , only for them to mention one of their customers previosly got well ripped off atTdi. Their invoice eventually topped Ԛ£23,000 for work that was quoted at Ԛ£11,000 . I did'nt bother chasing them after that 8O :D
