My 1993 316 touring gets about 260 miles to a tank but that's mainly short journeys to work and back.

Probably 3/4 of a tank as I never go below 1/4.

My 325i touring always returned about 22/24 mpg.

Whatever MPG it does, a £300 DIY LPG conversion makes it a lot more economical.
A 325 touring working as it should, will give about 24 MPG on short mixed journeys running on LPG, which is about the equivalent cost of 45 MPG on petrol.
