so we have a slightly scabby white 320 touring

or

a nice silver 325 touring......

The silver one is 200 miles further and 400/500 more.....

is it worth it ........

(it won't be kept standard, it will be modified, probably have an engine swap new interior etc so it basically comes down to colour.

silver or white......... :(

Buy the best you can afford. It will save headaches in the long run.

As above, buy the best shell you can afford unless your a dab hand at welding.Conversions cost enough as it is without adding body work to the costs.

Buy the scabby white one. It would be a real shame to ruin / molest a proper 325 Touring especially if it is the one I think it is as it a great car for a bargain price :)

A scabby 320 against a nice silver 325, I am sure you don't really need me to tell you which one to buy,

Rust should be the decider.

Tourings wont ever have the value of sports so it's hardly a long term value decision, especially if it's getting swapped.

Taking the engine out of the equation both cars are practically the same. buy the one that needs less work. £4-500 won't go far patching up a chronicly rusty turd with problems.

Well I appreciate the messages and votes, but I have listened to Pete and bought the white one.

I have no qualms "molesting" a scabby 320 touring, but I wouldn't have the heart to mess with the 325 as it deserves to stay standard, it has clearly been loved its entire life.

(not to say the 320 won't get love... just a different kind)

Ill leave the silver one for...... shall we say, a better home.

There is merit in that, mine started as a 320 touring and I highly doubt it would ever have any future value of note, molested or not.

The question is, how scabby is the 320? Gape pics?
