On board Computer Relay

Hi guys

What is the purpose for this relay box on our E30's ? on a 6 button OBC system
The only info I can find was it was something to do with immobiliser but the 6 button obc does not have that code option?
I might be wrong though but has anyone had one apart to look? or know some info?

6 button obc system don't have relay box only full 13button obc system have this relay.

OK I removed my lower dash cover today and had a look at the box (see pictures) and it is different from the normal box alarm module I think its called? Having the alarm round plug, and long green plug.
When I had the car 8 years ago I removed the alarm which was the extra lock in the door and the red light above the rear number plate. Also removed the round plug wiring from the box below.

My question is what is the long green plug for?

Another thing is that my car has a gong in the footwell cover with the loom plugged into it I am wondering if it possibly had a 13 button fitted sometime or the gong was fitted standard?

E30 m3 evo2 1988 UK Spec if that helps? As not sure if it was fitted with extras as standard or not.
