Ask on R3V forum from someone in california or a similar dry climate. Thats what i did with the M3.

Any half decent welder type will be able to fabricate a piece to replicate that easily. No need for chopping bits off other turds. I've sorted worse, and I am pretty crap .

Easy fix that Ross, have you had the carpet up yet? The seam across the footwell in that area is a favourite and usually goes hand in hand with what you have there
