Iv spent about 50 quid on drivers window seals now to keep facing the issue of the seals not touching the glass and letting water piss in. I thought at first it was to do with the seals being bent on removal or postage but after a zoner has sent me photo evidence of it working and shipped it in a bombproof package and it still not working on my car im completely baffled.

Iv put a video up here, any help would be great.

The missing metal trim strip will push the rubber against the window when fitted.

But you will always get some water leaking in there. That's why there are drain holes in the door and a stick on plastic inner.

Water getting into the inside of the door isn't a problem, but it's essential that it's contained in the door by the stick on inner plastic film, and that all the drains at the bottom of the door are clear, so that it can get out.
An intact plastic film is not an optional extra!

OK so basically i managed to put the seal in the vice and gently bend the inner metal sleeve so it was angled more aggressively towards the window.

it seals about 95% now and i have removed the drain plugs. When its back from respray the insides of the doors will be waxoiled and I will need to track down new inner film!
