Agree with bss325i, a waste of an awesome classic, but that aside, the final product is a tribute to the workmanship and thought that has gone into making that an awe inspiring BMW

And what is all that boot strengthening all about?

It doesn't need a strut brace. The cage is triangulated to the front struts, along with boxing to the inner wings, and without reading it, it's probably been seam welded. A far better way of doing things than a £100 strut brace
