what do u know about e30 baurs???

hi all just wondering if anybody has owned or knows much about baur convertables ?? mayb getting one dirt cheap , i no its either a 323 or 325 its a 95 B so it cud b either, just want to if they are a lot heavier or is the handling any different

cant seem to find much info on em really well none in english anyway

Hi, I used to have a Baur convertible - D reg 318i. It was a really nice car - there was no scuttle shake at all, since the roof rails from the saloon are still in place. And the options for hood down are great - all, or part can be removed - and you can use the 'roof' part as a sun roof/vent by opening it just a little. Way more practical than the full convertible. No reduction in luggage space, either. I guess it was a little heavier than the saloon - funnily enough it felt even more solid than the saloon version, aybe had extra strengthening or somthing. I missed it when I lost it (company car), even though the replacement was a full convertible.
