Other than the Weber are there any other replacement carbs for the Pierburg? Ones that will allow for the Econometer to stay working.....I am no mechanic

If there are I have not heard about it.

On an engine with a carb does the econometer not run on vacuum drop in the inlet manifold?

No the 316 uses all the electric gizmos in the pieburg to calculate the econometer readings.

You lose this on the weber but rest assured economy is improved! I actually have one sat in my garage if you need one!

Thanks for the info..... a great shame they did it this way.... having a new one fitted by FritzBits in Somerset soon so hopefully the running will compensate for the loss of system.....not an everyday vehicle and will be going into winter hibernation soon.
