You need an E34 M50 sump and E36 M50 alloy mounting arms. Apart from that, there are loads of alternatives for the rest of the parts, so get into the wiki and engine swaps forum and get reading.
M50 and M52 conversions are very similar, but the M52B28 (not TU) gives the best results for the effort involved.

Tell me are they just plug and play?! Do you still use the m52 gearbox?! Do you need to move the servo?!

All the info you need is on the Zone Facebook page. Plenty of experts there as well :)

It's been covered hundreds of times. There is a whole subforum for it.

Technically an m50 is easier to do as there is no EWS to worry about, but it's not hard to either wire it in, or have it flashed out of the ECU.

There are several options for gearboxes. Which one you choose will determine which diff ratio you require. For example, a ZF box (328i box) will need something like a 3.15:1 diff.

It can be pretty much plug and play with parts from DanThe. He sells manifolds, wiring looms, slim steering shaft etc all at really good prices.

Best bet is to get reading, people ask the same questions over and over again
