I have managed to get hold of 2 very rare original Hartge160mph and 180kph speedo dials.

Is there a way to re calibrate speedo’s so that it can work with these dials? E.g. Original 140mph clocks to suit the 280kph etc

Any information would be great.

Thanks

have a look local or wider area for anywhere that does coach/bus/lorry speedo's, they should be able to help
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

My Speedo was reading 10 mph fast on my m3 160 mph Speedo due to a diff change. I swapped the face on to a 325 150 mph Speedo and it now reads correct. I suggest you research diff ratios or send it to a specialist.

Diff ratio shouldn't effect what the speedo reads

Diff ratio wont affect indicated speed, its more than likely the wheels/tyres.

You can recalibrate, but need some very specialist tools which I dont know where to get. :(

Not sure ive seen any 160mph Hartge facias either.

Sorry to confuse the issue I checked the Speedo before and after with a GPS and it is close now. Perhaps. The 17 inch rims have thrown it out.

Do you have pics of Hartge 160mph speedo? I seen the Hartge 180mph on this site. I been searching for Hartge 300kmh. I found one in Hartge H35-24 e30 m3 diamond black. Here is a link.

I have 1 Hartge 260kmh and 3 Hartge 280kmh. The 260kmh is laser etched.

I had my E39 dials swapped over last year by Damone at http://www.sidmaster.co.uk/ and was very pleased with his work. Give him a call or email him, if he can't do it himself, he'll probably know who can.
