Hi,
I have seen some BBS split rims that I like.
They are 15 x 6.5 and ET33, I would like to run a 205/55/15 tyre.
Will there be any disadvantage or advantage other than looks to the standard BMW 15" wheel with a 7" width?
Advice would be great, Thanks : )
Wheel size advice please

Those will be BBS RM's, and in order to fit the tyres you want, you'll need to replace the outer lip with a 1" lip, as the original lip is 1/2".

If you Got "Haters",Then your doing something Right!

Thanks, that would be an idea. But I did look on line and it said a 205 would be within the range for a 6.5" rim. Apart from looks I would like it to be as close to standard as poss. Also needs to clear my breaks, but they are ok under the BBS 15's so should be ok still with the others.

205/50 are stock sizes on 6.5s from a 1997 Golf GTI so they'll fit ok, Might just look abit massive

Cheers, I think I will stick with 7" as the sound of balloon or massive is not what I had in mind.
