Has anyone stripped off the original black coating on the sills and re coated them? I want to do so and want a coating that is very similar to re apply. I have found sikagard 6544 in aerosol but cant seem to find a uk supplier. Are there any other options people know of?

Should just be stone chip which is applied via a Schultz gun

I used a Schultz gun with 3M 08868. The finish is very much dependant on how you spray it; I found light coats sprayed from 40-50cm produced the best result.
To make everything uniform, I scotched the rest of the stoneguarded parts and re-finished them. Once dry, I sprayed a bit of black satin on top and they came up nice.

Ye don't use the aerosol it had to be the Schulz gun and practice on some card first to get the texture roughly the same

Stripped my rear valence and sills back to bare metal to cut out a couple of rust spots and repair some light impact damage on the OSR. Re-applied stone chip and it looks bob on, but didn't colour code the sill.
Did the work at a mate's body shop, you need to befriend your local sprayer as it makes life so much easier!
