Ive heard people using Kunifer/cunifer to replacing existing brake pipes, anyone know if this is the right stuff, if not where do i purchase it from?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Copper-Nickel ... 1497991458
And how much would i need to replace the existing brake pipe system?
would i need any other tools?
any other info would be of great help...

Yes that is the correct stuff. You'll also need a brake pipe flaring tool, I recommend this one
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... ID=EBAY-GB
It's also worth buying the clips and also the clips that hold the brake pipe to the hose aswell from BMW.
How many brake lines are you replacing?

would it not be easier to buy the pipes from bmw, do they come already shaped up?

I'd probably buy 50meters if it's your first time doing it, you'll need some practice.
Where the brake pipe bolts to another component, there is a flared end so it seals correctly.

The brakes pipes come the correct length, flare and with unions already on but the last time I bought them, was for an E46 and they wasn't exactly cheap.

Practice flareing the ends a good few times!
It's very annoying doing all the bends then cocking up the flare.
Also fit union first then flare..... That's annoying in the wrong order too!

I am making the lines on my turd atm, not a standard E30 set up but pretty similar to a standard, you will need a brake pipe bending tool to create bends without flattening the pipe when you bend and a small pipe slice & ream tool to ream the inner & outer edges of your freshly cut pipe before flaring (din/ bubble flare)I practiced ( bin liner full of scrap) until i could bend and shape pretty well, i also made tenplates for the more challenging bits in cheap copper and test fitted them before attempting the final steel lines, the more effort the better the result.
Here's a few pic's of what im up to atm

I don't remember how many meters i bought but i did run out and had to get more( MK60 abs/dsc on my e30) so i have two rear lines instead of one, it all depends on how much you intend replacing, the brake lines are 4.75mm or 3/16, the fuel lines are 8mm but if the fuel lines you are thinking of replacing are standard you will have to get the barb crimped on the ends which is not worth the effort when the bmw fuel lines come ready shapped with barb & not too expensive, i would just buy that from the dealer tbh, ill take some pic's of the tools i'm using.
