the paint code number is on your suspension turret, get that take it to a paint supplier and ask them to make up a can of spray paint to suit.
did that with my old 318 in uk and it was as good a match as i have seen.

if you leave your touring in paisley you might need a bullet proof jacket to get out. isnt that one off they places that if you stop at a red light they nick your wheels?

This may help as i have my own bodyshop, all paint colours have varients e,g, a blue, red, yellow and many others, normallly the older the colour the more varients,(depending what tinters are in that shade) this is due to vehicle manufactures using different companies for paint over the years, if you give me your colour code ill let you know how many varients there are
hope this helps Fuzzy

Fuzzy, I'm pretty sure I have 2 cans left over from when I sprayed a lip spoiler for my old touring. It's the proper BMW stuff from the dealers. PM me if you haven't already sorted something out.
