My clutch pedal has always been heavy and I'm going to replace the clutch.
I've seen on ECP and CP4L a Sachs kit for the 325i part number 641110100, can somebody confirm this is the correct kit for the 325i as I recall reading on this forums about problems with different size friction plates.
This one is worryingly states 228mm and 230mm in the same description.

Tried Andrew Page, apparently SACHs is not available, offered LUK at £140, might have to tempt luck with CP4L, their kit is £102 after discount, apparently SACHS but unlikely.
Are LUK any good?

If you're looking for a lighter clutch, go for one for a 2.0 litre M20 E30. Assuming your 2.5 engine is near enough standard, and you don't make a habit of abusing the clutch, it will be up to the job.
The difference is the cover plate, which is fitted with a less strong spring.

Well I've ordered the CP4l Sachs kit at £102 which included their £15.00 off if you spend over £100.
Spoke to a nice lady via internet chat who confirmed it is Sachs as the LUK versions have a slightly different part number ending with an L, whatever turns up for £102 delivered I can't grumble.

Be careful with Sachs kits, because I remember trying to order one from ECP few years ago and they kept sending me the wrong one...
The correct Sachs part number for a 325i is this > 3000 132 002
You can download the Sachs catalogue from here and check yourself > http://www.zf.com/brands/content/en/sac ... alogs.html
In the end, I ended up buying mine from GSF. They only had LUK, but at least it was 100% correct for my car.

I get one up from that, trade, but not motor trade, still saves me around 30-40% on anywhere else though.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

I think you posted several years ago that ECP supplied you an E28 M20 clutch that is actually for a lower powered engine, 525e part number 3000 132 003, which will be a lesser clutch than the proper E30 325i unit
As Brian says it would probably be fine for a standard 2.5 engine, but a lot of people that are looking for Sachs clutches are fitting them to uprated or different engines
