gearbox part number

Hi please can someone tell me if this part number is for the m42 gearbox 2400049090

I don't think that's a BMW part number, it's certainly not recognised by the ETK.

Thanks James, I typed it into google search and it came up with a few links to m42 gearbox. But I was hoping soneone could confirm before its installed. It has a bmw logo and getrag on it and looks a very similar size and shape to the m40 gbox.

At a guess I'd say it's the Getrag part number so it's most likely a 240 box, but not a clue if it's an M42 or M40 box.
