Hi guys,
Seeing your advice...
I'm dropping a M52 into my 318i cab and was wondering what the process is in changing it on the log book and if its worth doing so?
Never have any plans on selling this car and may even upgrade to S52/S54 in the future!
Everything will be declared to the insurance company regardless

Just tell your insurance.
Informing the dvla of the change will only bring you hassle and they're only really bothered by an engine change if it means the car changes tax class, which an E30 won't.
