I was wondering if any of you chaps would like to get together and do a trackday.
I was thinking that a good starter would be Bedford GP as its got lots of run off and great for beginners.
My thinking is if we start going on track days together we could work towards a group of us going to Spa.
Thoughts please....

I am planning to do Bedford on 18th May. Not been there before. Blyton Park is great for learning on too, can really go balls out without much risk. Apart from the last corner which has a kerb that will take your sump off if you run wide

Shame 18th is a week day, unless it's a bank holiday?

I've just looked on MSV website, I think we're pretty much going to have to go for a week day. 18th May is a bit soon for me, I think my car will be in bits around that time

It's a Tuesday iirc. Therefore it's cheap - ish. Are weekdays a no-go for you bud?

I like Bedford, but I think I would save a day off work for another track, it's a little flat and basic when you compare it to Oulton or Brands etc.
Need to do a track day to test out the new braking additions and also before I fit the ECU.

Would love a Brands GP or Silverstone but both not cheap. Sign me up, would be nice to be on track with similar cars and not GT cars for a change!

Brands is great for me, only half an hour from home. I do like Snetterton 300 though.
Dan, when do you think we can safely start booking track days...mid June?

Haha yeah, that's the other reason I want to do Bedford - big long straight there. Enough to get any serious supercar (Murcs, 458s, GTRs and the like) north of 150mphetouring wrote:Id be up for a track day, at last I will be able to take the touring over 70mph I wonder what it feels like.

You don't get the feeling of speed on that long straight due to lack of reference points, very flat and open surrounding'sMotorhole wrote:Haha yeah, that's the other reason I want to do Bedford - big long straight there. Idd be up for a track closer to Ldn... But the idea of big run off sounds like a good one. Don't really want to put my pride and joy into a wall.Muzz2676 wrote:You don't get the feeling of speed on that long straight due to lack of reference points, very flat and open surrounding'sMotorhole wrote:Haha yeah, that's the other reason I want to do Bedford - big long straight there. I pretty much spin the car on every track day I've ever been on, never had any damage at Bedford, unlike Silverstone and Brandsetouring wrote:Idd be up for a track closer to Ldn...
