Smoking started off as a pursuit of the wealthy and the landed gentry but filtered down to scum. A bit like Mercedes and BMW really.
I've not smoked for a couple of years (well, I have one every 3-4 months maybe) but I only smoked Marlboros, Peter Stuyvesant or Dunhill, later St.Moritz menthols.

Cheap fags really are dreadful. Lambert & Council, Regals, Bensons. All nasty.
