Are they hard to fit? Apparently you have to take the front valance off is this true? Picking them up today just want to know if they are easy enough to fit?

Dead easy to fit. Back in the day when my wife drove an E30 as a daily, I used to buy these in bulk, and had a session replacing them every few weeks or so.
Only tools needed are a small parallel punch (to push the centre pins of the plastic rivets right through) and a small hammer to hit the punch with.

Thanks Brian, so you don't need to remove the valance? The splitter is still on its just the middle clips that have broken

Don't need to remove the valance.
Jack the front up and on axle stands. As Brian says, easy job.
