I have a fair bit of gap where the bumper meets the rear arch, is there anyway of sorting this out. The front also has a slight gap at the bottom of the grill where the bumper is on the offside but not on nearside.

Does anybody know how to sort this?

Will upload pictures tomorow morning

There is a wiki page on this, but I be damned if I can find it.

Three points: Obviously, ignore all references to marker lights and their wiring, the long bolts don't need to be tightened to anything like 64 ft.lb - they are just locating pins and need to be just tight enough to prevent them undoing themselves, and, since most of us don't live in an area quite so dry as that E30 does, give the bolts a good coating of copper grease before refitting them.

Looks like the front bodywork is out of shape, especially the LH wing.

It's only thin steel. It'll bend if you get rough enough with it.
You need to remove the bumper, loosen up all the fixing screws a little, bend things to shape, tighten the screws, refit bumper, check, then repeat the above until the gaps are perfect.
All panel gaps on an E30 can be set up to perfection if you put sufficient effort into it.
