Any difference between 318 and 316 gearboxes? I'm doing the clutch on my 318 but have a box off a 316 I'm breaking with lower miles. Thinking of putting the 316 box in but don't want to mess up the gear ratios.
Code on 318 082821 and on 316 is 083550.

There's more than one type of gearbox that has been fitted to these cars over their production run. All are Getrag 240/5, and one of the type codes was 60 BCX, so these are both BMW part number 23 00 1 222 029.
