Luckily my e30 has very little rust, there's a couple of bubbles you can see when you open the sunroof. That's not to say there isn't any lurking where the eye can't see.

I was thinking I should take steps to try and keep it this way, I've heard of waxoil but wouldn't know where or how to start. Is it the case that you have to take the car apart to get to the hard to reach places or is there some easy preventative measures I could take?

No need to bladder the underside in black shite, your car only needs the typical E30 areas addressing before they start to go bad, if they do at all.
Blacking the complete floor/arches/suspension is massively over the top, I hate working on cars like this

Your car WILL have rust . Plastering sh1te over it will not fix it. The rust , no matter how minor needs to be addressed FIRST, then and only then, the anti rust product applied.
Commercial 'rustproofers' DO NOT remove / fix rust. They spray over it. There is only so much you can do in a two hour window.

I understand it'll inevitably have rust somewhere, its 25 years old. To be certain I'd have to strip it and shotblast it and I'm not going to go to those extremes.

In the blub in the link it says they treat any rust found but then I'd imagine that's not the £250 service as its a from price.

I was thinking that some things better than nothing or perhaps its a waste of time and money

Feck me there only down the road from me, any zoners coming into Lincolnshire must pay me first as you will need protection from many factors, mainly inbred action and the fact we dont like outsiders! :D
On the plus side i bet its an old dude with a ramp covering everything in black shit and emptying your full wallet knowing the likely hood of you owning the car in 10 years when the rust comes through will be almost zero. :D It will delay rust not cure it though so not all bad surely

I was in this place last week collecting some dinitrol rust treatment and some of there epoxy primer, good bunch of people, very knowledgable and willing to give out advice when needed. They were doing a 4x4 at the time i was there, looked very thorough from what i saw. And the dinitrol was cheaper from them than it is direct from dinitrol...

sounds like a standard rust PROOFING affair, it'll protect your car from rust if it doesn't have any, but rest assured if it does, it'll need addressing at extra cost. I suppose it's a fair deal if your car is 100% rust free and you want to keep it that way.

Sounds tempting this does.

If you do go ahead, I'd be very interested to see how they deal with/what they do with the existing factory under seal. I guess ideally it'd all need to come off to see what's underneath? (Although fuel tank/diff etc will make it a pain.)

I need to do mine after having had welding done, but I have no wish to do this myself!

They won't be taking the factory underseal off.

The only way to deal with rust is cut it out and weld new metal in
