Just as it says, I have seen a few "new" E30's buzzing round and wondering if any of them are you?
So anyone from Preston Lancs?

Talk about reviving the dead, thought this post had died.
Unfortunately my car is now in resting and being reshelled. Here is mine and my mates at Tatton last year, mines black, my mates are the grey and red one, the red now has DTM mirrors, and black and silver plates he does work at Bowkers in Preston along with another E30 nut Tim.

I know the red car, i used to have a lach silver 2.7 with alpinas. Broke it for parts recently but on the look out for another e30. Anyone seen the black e30 m3 hangiing around Walton-le-dale recently? If you do dont try and race it as not exactly standard!

Yes,its in super condition,if you get the chance ask the owner to pop the bonnet for you,his workmanship is awesome,a very neat and sypathetic job.
I have seen it, the engine looks like it should have always been there. Very well put together, i know him from when i used to have my 2.7. I wanted the 2.3 e30 m3 engine that he took out for my kit car but he wont sell it!

What sort of kit are you building?
Its already built, its called a locust kit car and is based on a cortina chassis. Its currently powered by a 2litre pinto, which although its quick i thought 215bhp from the bmw engine would be a great idea. It would be over 300bhp per ton then and silly fast. not sure if its worth just getting the pinto tuned or replacing it with something else!?!

Bit basic for an oldie like me!!I have promised myself a kit build 'when the Daimler is sold'.....Calamity Jane's words, not mine....
It is a bit basi but really looks the part. British racing green with yellow stripe, looks just like one of the old lotus sevens. Its getting re-built this winter unless i sell it in the meantime. Its hard work driving any distances, reallt shakes you to death but great fun. Just fitted a full stainless steel exhaust including manifold, sounds like a race car now!
for photo upload, upload to a photo site, I use photobucket, and then
thats it really, sounds like a this kit goes like a rocket, do you have it out often?
The M3 round walton is a mate of the red car, they both ended up at the meet a couple of weeks ago, I should have gone but got tied up
