I have looked at older post which recommend Uniroyals rainsport 2 as a good tyre, how does the 3 compare? and I have read loads on them being good in the rain but what about the dry?? also any other tyres preferably cheaper?

That page is 3 years old, tyres have come a long way in that time, if it were me id buy the newest model of tyre available. Look for reviews of recently new tyres, most info on here is about tyres that are 10 years old plus.

Im about to buy nankangs for my staggered alpina wheels :)
