Probably the most ignored part of the car aesthetically.. but anyone got any peado shots of their engine bays?

Mine looks like a miners arm pit at the moment, so won't be sharing it :)

He still needs a little council in him!

When I fit hose clips, I always try and make the screw hidden.

Some BMW clamps I've come across have a BMW logo stamped on them aswell which is cool when the screw is hidden

Kos that's immense!

Is that through detailing and cleaning, or through replacing everything

Mines the same. I've got that seal wax all over the engine bay!

Its because of his OCD 8O
as per stefan, OCD

when i pulled the head off last year it was good excuse to do it all. it wasn't as rough as per the first picture as a few bits had been sorted prior, like the air box and heater cover

all metal parts have been blasted & powered coated or vapour blasted

new clips, hoses, bottles, various parts re plated

labour of love

When I've brought new hoses they've not tended to be black like that. Did you treat it with something before adding it to the car?

Awesome though! 8)

depth of field win win :D

I've added a strut brace to my turd, but wasn't keen on the polished alloy look, so a went with crackle black and it's nice and subtle

That's a great colour for the inlet and rocker cover. What is it?

Thanks. Good question though, I'd have to check with the chap who powder coated it, think it was classed as a beige (looks more golden) and then it's had a metallic clear powder coat over the top.
