what is the brown switch for in the engine bay, next to the temp switch... and how would you know when to change them?
i read somewhere that these were nla for the m20 325, is this true. If so is there any alternatives?

blue is the water temp for the ECU, brown is for the temp gauge on the instrument cluster.

NLA is totally untrue, these are the same as several other cars and bosh, vdo, lucas and beru still make these and that's just off the top of my head.
