Mine is losing a bit of it's blackness.

What's the best way to recolour it without a shine?

Anyone tried leather shoe dye, I think Dylon is the brand? Should work in theory I would have thought.

Firsly give it a good clean...the shinyness is caused by dirt and oils etc

Leather needs "feeding" so get a leather cream / conditioner. You can get leather shoe cream in black which will work well. Get a good quality one and use it once the wheel has been cleaned properly and then every 6 months or so...
