What kinda service would you say to do to a M42 engine?
Done air filter , was gonna do the oil but have a feeling we renewed that when we ripped it apart.
Renewed injectors not long ago
Would you say things like oil filter, fuel filter.
Usually ide say valves but as you know they're hydraulic .
I'm gonna start doing this car as lately I been lazy.
Also what's a SVA test rules regarding the car as this was previously written off because a side impact .
Now it's all been sorted bar the paint which is wrong colour .

Depends what history you have of what was changed and when.
Basics would be ,
Oil and filter change
Air filter change
Fuel filter change
Spark plugs
Brake fluid change
Bit more involved
Coolant flush and change with fresh anti freeze
Power steering fluid change
Clutch fluid change
Diff oil and gearbox oil change
Then checking for perished pipes damage etc etc etc ....
SVA no idea, what category was the damage?

I'm not sure at the moment .
Was just a bent subframe and maybe rear wishbone trailing arm.
Well I think you would call it small.

Brake fluid renewed and oil filter + oil.
So now I have the plugs and fuel filter to renew.
Then I'll do the power steering fluid.
What power steering fluid is advised to use?

Yes dextron 2 is ATF fluid also known as power steering fluid. You could also use dextron 3.
The instructions on The wiki are very good prob need about 2 litres to flush and refill.
Smart extracter fan that! Family, always jobs that need to be done!!!
