I've got dynalite clippers fitted. I was wondering if fitting a 7 series master would improve braking. I've heard that different bore size calliper needs a different master. Has anyone tried different combos?

I'm using a 25mm master bolted up to a clio servo,
pumping onto Brembo 4 pots (312mm discs) on the front,
540 rears (298mm discs)
and the braking is immense!!!
I was just using the standard master with the brakes at first, but it wasn't moving enough fluid to get the job done right,
but once I swapped over to the 25mm master, the pedal was much firmer and i had to put "less effort" onto the brake pedal

I shall say no more

Sweet, Iv herd a few different stories about master cylinders iv got a cleo servo fitted. Sounds like it might be worth giving the 25mm bore a try.

Surely it depends what size pistons are in the dynalite calipers?
Just because a 25mm master cylinder works with the above setup doesn't mean it will work with yours. You would possibly also need to factor in the rear caliper piston size as well.

Think it was a 2000 something, the one you use with a m52 conversation.satan16v wrote:What year/model Clio MC are you using?

A quick look on google shows a possible 35.1mm or 44.5mm bore size (I think there are 1 or 2 smaller sizes, but not so common).etouring wrote: Yea, but how can I work it out???
Unless there's any markings that relate to bore size on the caliper, I guess you would need to measure the size of the pistons.
